I picked up Ross Gay’s Book of Delights, and I thought to myself – what a simple and brilliant idea! Every day, I will set off to find things that fill me with delights and jolt down my notes here. The goal, if any goal really exists for this endeavor, is to sharpen my senses so I could hold on to those fleeting delights for just a bit longer. The rules I set for myself are quite straightforward (but not original, thanks to Ross Gay): notice something delightful each day; be candid to my feelings; be reactive to the moments when inhalations of air shift into smiles, and upon exhalations, linger as joy.
